Directions
Cerumen management is a crucial aspect for Audiologists who test hearing and fit amplification. It is an essential skill to ensure accurate hearing testing and hearing aid fittings.
In Louisiana, cerumen management skill is not considered evident by virtue of your doctoral degree or specifically included in the scope of practice as of yet. A course in cerumen management will provide for a layer of professional liability protection as well as sharpen your skills in this very important area of clinical practice. This course will provide hands-on instruction with instrumentation, lavage, and suction techniques for cerumen management. Seats are very limited for this course so do not delay your registration. The class will be from 8am to 1pm which allows you to attend CE opportunities with our industry partners in hearing instrument technology.
